Jesus Cornbread & the Alcoholics follows the story of a group of friends who do their best to live responsibly, but screw up from time to time.  After each misadventure they congregate around a reluctant guru they’ve nicknamed Jesus Cornbread, who delivers them infinite wisdom, sustenance and guidance on their path to salvation.

Jesus Cornbread represents the mentor archetype, and has been designated the ‘Mentor of all Mentors’ by his followers.  The stories serve as modern parables based in Texas.  So, instead of a herdsman shepherding sheep, Cornbread is a cowboy herding cattle.  Alternatively, he prefers tequila over wine.  The Alcoholics are his disciples, who follow Cornbread’s teachings to improve their spiritual and moral quality of life.
